Frugal Fun: Urban Hiking

Amelia, Max, and I went on our own little frugal, fun adventure last Friday afternoon at a park near the Mississippi River. Located no more than 10 minutes from our house, I asked myself several times throughout our excursion,

“Why we haven’t we ever come here before?”

Better late than never, I guess?

I tend to get lost easily, so Amelia drew us a map.

Amelia was a little disappointed the boat on her map was not available for us to cross the river (and I was a little worried she’d finally OD’d on Dora the Explorer).

So, we settled for tossing rocks into the river.

Big rocks, little rocks, LOTS of rocks.

 Max got in on the fun too! (And got into the ol’ Miss.)
